In the Mystical City of Kathmandu

The Mystical City of Kathmandu, Nepal

Wander often, wonder always.

There is something strange yet mesmerizing about the beautiful city of Kathmandu.
You may feel a high Spiritual energy flowing around the City. Some Places provide a strong warm presence even when it's cold which provides a piece of peace, places like the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple,  Bodhnath Stupa, and Swambhunath are no such exception.
The Beautiful capital of Nepal "Kathmandu" is also the largest city in Nepal.

In some places you may feel like you have ridden a time machine and went back centuries ago.
The Smiles on the faces of the locals, the local food, and the warmness of such Spiritual places will always remain in your heart. The Richness of the Culture and heritage may make you come back again and again.

Kaal Bhairava

The word Durbar means "The Court of a Ruler".
The Most amazing thing that hooked me with the Kathmandu Durbar Square was the centuries-old statue of Kaal Bhairava.
Kaal Bhairava is a deity worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists. In mythology, he is considered the Rudra Roopa of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Kaal Bhairav offers protection to his devotees against their enemies, evil spirits, and black magic. Although some people may find the statue of Kaal Bhairav scary, others may find it mystical and pleasant.

A bit far from Kathmandu there is also a Place known as Bhaktapur, Bhaktapur is the old Capital of Nepal and the Bhaktapur Durbar Square's history is even 1200 years older than the Kathmandu Durbar Square but let's save this story for another time, and get's back to Kathmandu.

You can spend hours sitting near a temple in Kathmandu Durbar Square, watching the sunset amidst the sounds of a lively crowd. It's a great opportunity to reflect on the wonderful life you're gifted with and feel a sense of bliss. Being in such a rich spiritual place can bring a surge of positivity and warmth, which is a mystical power that one can experience. So, forget about the downs life has shown you and bask in the joy of the present moment.

When the Sun Kiss the Kathmandu Durbar square for the last time before going to bed the beauty of that Kiss is unexplainable I really don't know enough words about how to explain it. In reality, some things are unexplainable and they are better that way, you just have to feel it.
The way the sun illuminates the ancient buildings and statues is nothing short of magical, and it's something that must be experienced firsthand to be truly understood. Don't miss out on this unforgettable moment – come to Kathmandu and let it leave a mark on your heart, just as it did for me.

Evening in the Kathmandu Durbar Square.

No matter how many times the city was destroyed by earthquakes, it never failed to rise in glory again.
A way to understand the Spiritual significance of a place is by observing the pigeons that flock around the place every day.
Millions of Pigeons may flock around places like the Bodhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square making the places even more warmer and Mystical.

You may have explored Nepal many times, but there is a promise that this Beautiful country will always have a new kind of impact on your heart every time you visit. In this Journey, I have learned and realized it doesn't matter how many times you've visited a place; it's all about how much you've explored and there is no limit to exploration.

The Nepali flag is the only triangular flag in the world.

The Nightlife in Kathmandu is also very happening, but one must be very careful and cautious while roaming around at night, especially in the Thamel Area.
I was only 7 years old when I first visited Nepal with my family and
quite naturally I don't remember much about my first visit.
But this time, in January 2024, Nepal left a mark on my heart with its spiritual warmness and amazing adventures. This small landlocked country is located in the Lap of the Himalayas and is under-rated, unexplored, raw, and waiting to be explored but will always remain Mystical.
